Contraindications

The most common contraindications for neuromodulators are:

  • Certain muscular and/or neurological disorders, such as ALS and Myasthenia gravis.   

  • Infection

  • Known allergy or hypersensitivity to the medication. 

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding.

  • Under the age of 22 years.

Preparation Details

To best prepare for success with neuromodulators, follow the steps below before your appointment.

  • Avoid alcohol 24 hours before treatment.

  • Discuss discontinuing aspirin and other blood thinners for three days with your primary care provider.

  • Arrive at your appointment with a clean face (or other treatment area), free of products or cosmetics.
